If BMW’s impressive S1000RR wasn’t crazy enough for you, the German firm released a limited run “HP4” variant in 2013. Designed specifically for the race track, it was the lightest 4-cylinder supersport bike in the 1,000cc class to date with a dry weight of 373 pounds. Even better, it’s street legal! This bike has been through our service department and passed an 89 pt. reconditioning & inspection process. Some of the points include a oil & filter change, flush and bleed of all brake/clutch fluids, inspection of all wear items, an electrical & charging system test, safety & lighting check, adjustment of controls, torque check of major fasteners, a diagnostic check with a scanner, and of course a test ride to check for proper operation of the bike. Our techs also facilitated completion of all open recall related repair work through our local BMW Motorrad dealership. We are pleased to present production #1045 of the limited edition model HP4. The HP label stands for High Performance. The performance upgrades start with a major weight loss program that brings the bike to an impressive 439lbs wet and race ready weight. This is achieved by using super lightweight materials such as carbon fiber bodywork, forged wheels, a lighter sprocket carrier, titanium exhaust, and even a lighter battery.
