Multi-system capable Siemens Vectrons in the yellow/blue design of the NS are used in cross-border traffic between the Netherlands and Germany. I took over the train from my Dutch colleague after crossing the border and am now travelling to Berlin in the Vectron. Accompany me on the first section of the journey from Rheine to Osnabrück. We pass a dilapidated box bridge that can be travelled on at slow speed and a maximum of 40 km/h, encounter some goods trains and are surprised shortly before Osnabrück by a distant signal in warning position that can only be seen very late in the curve.
