I have been looking for a cost effective option to keep our 25 litre Brass Monkey Fridge running while in the back of the car plugged into a cigarette lighter socket when the ignition is turned off. The system must be able to be charged when the car is running, must be compact and will be used in three different vehicles. This requirement is needed during holiday times when travelling and stop starting the car between destinations. 240volt appliance capability is not required. I decided on a Kings 36Ah Lithium Power Pack, a 100watt 240 volt wall charger and an 85watt 12 volt car charger with a total delivered cost of $450.00 A fixed installation was not considered due to the requirement of using the fridge in three different vehicles. After bench testing the system for 4 hours in 40 degree heat and considering the use being infrequent over a year I expect the Kings Power Pack will suit our requirement.
