Holiness is not rules. Holiness is not legalism. Holiness is not tradition. Holiness is not a list of does and don'ts. Holiness is separation unto God for His purpose. In Part 3, we confront a culture that blurs the lines between conviction and preference… between biblical principle and personal opinion. What Scripture calls holy, society labels extreme. What God defines clearly, the world reduces to “personal preference.” There are absolutes in Scripture. They are not trends. They are not negotiable. They are not subject to cultural revision. There are also areas not spelled out word-for-word — yet the principles are clear. God establishes patterns, boundaries, and distinctions. He does not lower His standard so His people can fit in under the guise of preference or false claims of legalism. Holiness is not just about external appearance, and it certainly is not a standard applied to women alone. In 1 Timothy 2:9-10 Paul addresses women — but the standard does not begin there. The man is first called to manifest holiness inside and out in verse 8. The Scripture says “in like manner” — not instead of the man, not in place of the man — but in the same way. As the man leads in holiness, the woman follows in like manner. Holiness in lifestyle begins with the man, and both are held accountable to a standard that is visible inwardly and outwardly.
