Bridges are constrained transportation links that funnel traffic of all kinds across a barrier -- usually water -- and the more modes they accommodate, the better, in my opinion. The vast majority of urban bridges in North America were built only with motor vehicles in mind, but some cities have reallocated space to create more comfortable facilities for people biking, scooting, and walking.
