Burglaries primarily target Hispanic-owned businesses

Two men have been arrested in connection with what Commerce City police described as a months-long burglary spree targeting primarily Hispanic-owned businesses across the Denver metro area. Commerce City Police said Brian Romero and Angel Villalovos-Flores were arrested on Friday. They are the suspects believed to be responsible for at least six “high-dollar burglaries” in Commerce City and as many as three dozen across the metro area since November. Detectives recovered two handguns believed to have been used in the crimes, along with stolen vehicles and hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash.
