In this tutorial I introduce a new series I've dubbed the "Three-Hand Problem." Beginning with Grieg's "Arietta," I discuss the challenge of playing and balancing three (or more!) musical parts with only two hands. This is often a significant barrier for students wanting to progress to an intermediate level at the piano and beyond. The series will include numerous examples that require this technique, explaining challenges of each piece and introducing students to new selections to broaden their repertoire.
