Shotts & Dykehead Pipe Band's piping charms the judges at the 2024 European Championships in Perth.

Fraser Shotts and Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band Pipe Major Emmett Conway Lead Drummer Grant Cassidy The European Pipe Band Championship competitions took place on the South Inch in Perth, Scotland on 11 August 2024. Large crowds and perfect weather made this spacious green space beside the River Tay an ideal venue. The pipe band competition was combined with the Perth Highland Games. The event was organised by Perth Highland Games, Perth and Kinross Council and the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association. Bands from all over the world took part in the competitions and there were 127 performances across all the grades. The Grade One competition attracted 12 entries. This was a March, Strathspey and Reel contest. Shotts and Dykehead pipe band was placed fourth overall in the Grade One competition. Both piping judges ranked the band's piping in first place.
