Why RHYTHM Matters? // The BEST DRILL to MASTER it!!

RHYTHM is one of the most OVERLOOKED aspects of a good golf swing. A SMOOTH and CONSISTENT RHYTHM leads to better results than just focusing on power. In this video our Director of Operations Pete Skirpstas and I discuss the importance of great RHYTHM for not just recreational golfers but ELITE GOLFERS too. Pete has played at the Tour level and still carries a (+4) Index!! The BEST DRILL for RHYTHM is hitting 3 clubs to the same target! it’s not as easy as you think but it’s awesome at teaching you HOW to control your SPEED! RHYTHM influences the SWING SEQUENCE. A VIOLENT DISRUPTION or “hit-reflex” causes EXCESSIVE TENSION in the wrists, arms, and shoulders. Switching off these levers leads to excessive use of the BODY which causes MISHIT SHOTS that lack distance. When your rhythm is in sync, your BODY, ARMS, and CLUB move in harmony, producing more ACCURATE SHOTS. For recreational golfers, rhythm is about finding the RIGHT PACE, not slowing down. GOOD GOLFERS can reproduce a consistent cadence. PRACTICING RHYTHM enhances consistency and reduces strain on your body.
