Follow along from the perspective of Signature Tyer Paul Procter as he fishes for wild brown trout on the fly during the warm summer months. This this summer fly fishing masterclass for wild trout was filmed last year, and features Paul's extremely effective terrestrial patterns for trout. The stream in this video holds a great population of healthy wild brown trout, but as you can see, is extremely overgrown and challenging to fish. Paul walks us through his approach to casting and fishing in really complicated spots. He talks about his leader build for fishing these dry fly patterns, how he likes to approach wary rising fish, how he casts, presents and fights fish. Even if you're not fishing terrestrial dry flies for trout right now, this video is loaded with advanced tips for dry fly fishing anywhere. Filmed over Paul's shoulder, this video really puts you in Paul's shoes and is a real fishing adventure that should help you get excited for the season. Paul Procter is an extremely talented fly angler, and is most famous for his expertise at catching large, wild trout on dry flies. Paul has 46 years of experience fly fishing, is a writer, AAPGAI instructor, fly fishing guide, and Vice President of the Wild Trout Trust. Simply put, Paul understands fly fishing to its core. And, he understands picky fish to their core, too. As such, we're thrilled to feature many of Paul's most successful dry flies, which have been refined over decades of monitoring both bugs and fish on rivers. If you haven't yet checked out Paul's flies, we urge you too. They are purpose built and proven over years and years of refinement on the water.
