Our stories today: Thousands of trucks were left stranded at the Belarusian border after Minsk banned Polish and Lithuanian trucks and tractors from operating on its territory until the end of 2027. The European Commission is presenting its report on the progress of Ukraine and other candidate countries in joining the European Union. The EU’s foreign policy chief, Kaja Kallas, and the enlargement commissioner — Marta Kos – are set to address the ratings for candidate countries. Belarus has announced plans to reopen its embassy in Slovakia by September 1st, 2026, following a decree signed by Prime Minister Alexander Turchin.
