Collegiate Girls' Schools - 2020 Virtual Carols Presentation

The Collegiate Girls’ Schools present the 108th Carols Presentation of 2020. Due to the world pandemic of COVID-19, the Music Departments of both Collegiate Girls’ High School and Collegiate Junior School for Girls were challenged to present this annual tradition of the Carols Presentation, virtually. The video includes a compilation of past Carols performances from 1998, 2009, 2017 and 2019 – this is a true celebration of female conductors as the virtual presentation includes Mrs A Cheetham (1998) whom sadly passed away this year, Mrs C Bowes (2009), Ms A Yates (2017) and Mrs G Agenbag (2019). A big thank you must go to Mrs Agenbag, the Head of Music at the High School, for her organization, to Mr Snyman and Ms du Preez for the compilation of the video, to Mrs Range for the recording of the congregationals on the Kragga Kamma Dutch Reformed Church organ, to Mrs van Dyk and Mrs Bransby for the sourcing of old photographs from past performances, to Mr Raynor for the scripture readings and to Mrs Erasmus for her wonderful opening message and her continued support of the Music Department. In the past, all proceeds from the Carols Presentation were donated to Community Chest.
