In this session we focused on Memberships and Sponsorships — exploring how they can create stronger, longer-lasting relationships with supporters while providing reliable and sustainable income for charities. Unlike simple regular donations, memberships and sponsorships allow supporters to feel more involved through recognition, shared purpose, and a deeper connection with the cause. We also touched on broader fundraising theory. One of the key themes was the importance of building and nurturing a supporter base, regularly communicating your charity’s stories and impact, and introducing engaging and relevant fundraising opportunities along the way. When done well, this naturally encourages supporters to take part in raffles, events, lotteries, memberships, and other campaigns — all tools supported by People’s Fundraising.
