NEW YORK CITY MARATHON | RACE WEEKEND!!

After 18 weeks of training, it's race weekend!! This whole weekend was a dream. I loved feeling the energy of NYC from the minute we landed, going to the expo, then a shakeout run on Saturday morning, dropping off my bag at the finish line. And then it was RACE DAY! After a few hours of travel (YES, A FEW HOURS), I finally made it to the start village and had to pinch myself a few times that it was actually happening. The race started and I felt like I was floating the whole way to the finish line. I was so happy to see my husband and family at miles 18 and 23 and while I felt a little bit of nausea at mile 22, it quickly passed and I was able to finish in 4:43:41, a 17 minute PR!!
