General views of Middlesex Hospital and crowds waiting outside to see Sir Winston Churchill emerge. C/U of sign reading 'Private Patients Entrance' above the door. Lady Clementine Churchill goes into the hospital, greeted by officials. An ambulance pulls up outside the entrance. Churchill, looking rather frail, is carried down the entrance steps in a chair by four ambulance men. He waves to the crowds, cigar in hand. Police hold the crowds back. Photographers crowd around the ambulance and take pictures. The ambulance sets off. At Churchill's home, 28 Hyde Park Gate, we see more crowds and policemen gathered. Lord Moran and another man go inside. The ambulance arrives and Churchill is carried out of the ambulance in his chair. They stop on the steps of the building and pose for cameras.
