drove up to see ancient bristlecone pine forest yesterday it's about 5 hours north of Los Angeles https://www.fs.usda.gov/detail/inyo/s... I've visited the other side of this valley alot and love hiking in Sierras but hadn't really been able to see this side as much. it's quite different, as it's an ancient(350M year old) seabed from the other plate that's been pushed up over 10000ft(3000 meters). It's much more sparse and desert like, but at least the altitude helps keep it cooler than the desert floor 🥵 had a nice hike and was able get some timelapse of sunset on the way out 1st take of GoPro timelapse is at 1:10, with a natural color correction 2nd take at 5:30 with extreme color had a later start than planned, so didn't get to put as much planning into the piece, was rushing against time with sunset forgot to stay on filter page of RoAT when i engaged chaos mode and it was a bit jarring
