Underworld: Rise of the Lycans: Sonja fights her father What’s happening in this Underworld: Rise of the Lycans movie clip? Lucian reaches Sonja and they attempt to escape together. Lucian and Sonja run through the sewers but encounter heavy resistance. Up top, Viktor and his men pour oil into the sewers and set the tunnels on fire. Lucian and Sonja jump through a small hole in the ceiling and battle the vampires. Lucian is outnumbered and getting pummeled but Sonja is doing a good job fighting them off (partly because they want her alive). Viktor comes in and fights Sonja, and she has no choice but to defeat her father. Sonja pleads for Viktor to release Lucian for the sake of her child (she's pregnant with Lucian’s child). Viktor grabs Sonja’s dagger and subdues her. Viktor sees the child as an abomination and believes he has no choice but to punish her as well. Lucian (Michael Sheen from The Deal and Twilight), the first of the Lycans able to take human form, and Sonja (Jázmin Dammak), the daughter of Viktor (Bill Nighy from Love Actually and Pirates of the Caribbean), the leader of the vampires, are secretly in love with each other. One night, Sonja leads guards and kills the Lycans who are behind the walls of the vampire city. Sonja goes with warriors into the forest to protect a human baron but finds herself fighting a battle against the Lycans. Lucian predicts that they will outnumber her and joins her and transforms to save Sonja. Lucian and the captive Lycans devise a plan to free themselves. Lucian destroys the Guardian that was threatening him, Sonja makes a deal with Viktor's lieutenant in exchange for her place on the Vampire Council. Sonja helps the Lycans escape and Viktor discovers that Sonja helped the Lycans escape. When Lucian returns to the fortress to take Sonja with him, father and daughter clash violently, and Viktor is ready to kill her when she tells him she is pregnant. Lucian survives the whip once again and sees Sonja die before his eyes, exposed to the light of day which reduces her to ashes. Lucian turns into a werewolf and tries to kill Viktor, he calls the other Lycans and war breaks out. Lucian confronts Viktor and kills him, the vampires are defeated. The Lycans congratulate him, but Lucian announces that this is just the beginning. In the end, we see Viktor on a boat still alive. This is the beginning of war without mercy...
