The first thing you need to do is take an inventory of the devices in your home that connect to the internet. By doing so, you’ll have a list of all the devices that are allowed to connect to your router. Once you have this list, you can access your router’s settings and get a list of all the devices that are currently connected to your router. By comparing your home inventory to the list of devices currently connected to your router, you’ll be able to see if there are any devices in your home network that you don’t want to have access to your WiFi. If you have any unwanted devices connected to your router, you can block the devices from accessing your router. There are ways around this defensive maneuver, so it’s best to establish a complex password for your home WiFi networks if you don’t want any intruders connecting to your router.
