SOLO WILD CAMP IN WOODS

I camped out in some woods, doing some foraging, fire lighting, prepping and cooked my food on my campfire. A local farmer has given me permission to use his woods for camping in. I had a great time and having set up camp I explored the woods and found some wild garlic in the deciduous part of the wood which I used to cook with my lamb steaks that night. Camping in woods, especially the planted pine/cedar woods I was in, is such a different feeling to camping elsewhere, as it is dark pretty much all the time and there is no vegetation due to low light and acidic soil and little animal life making it an unusual atmosphere. I had a good time trying out my grill cooking the lamb and the baked potatoes turned out well. It was another enjoyable night out but next time I would like to camp in the deciduous part of the wood so that I can compare the difference to where I camped this time. camping camp cooking wildcamping bushcraft survival
