It expands and retracts with ease, for tensionless walks. It’s been used by MWD teams for years when in the field, tracking or searching for bombs, drugs, and bad guys. There is always a danger with any leash, but a couple points on the Flexi. The leash is not recommended for use on an untrained dog. We advise you to not use the leash on larger dogs, that exceed the weight limit of the leash (110 lbs. for the light-duty). As with many long lines, you run the risk of wrapping the lead around you or another person. And last but not least, don’t ever grab the leash unless you hate your fingers.
