How to Make Rustic Jute Covered Polystyrene Eggs with Garden Twine & PVA Glue | Craft at Home Decor

This basic crafting video introduces how to make and decorate spring Easter eggs for the home interior decor, using polystyrene eggs, along with PVA glue and garden twine. This is an easy and fun creative project that can be made using your hands and basic non-toxic glue. I made 5 little eggs in different sizes, which took me a few hours of crafting time, letting the glue dry before decorating with rhinestones or beads, etc (optional). They are great to use as a table centrepiece | table decoration for the Easter holidays. Simply glue the egg, gluing under the twine and over the twine to secure it in place, and wrap the twine / jute around the egg. Lots of glue is recommended! I used my fingers to hold the twine down as I worked. A slightly messy job, but part of the fun! You can use PVA glue or Elmer's glue or Mod Podge, and garden twine to make this home decoration project! In shops, these rustic eggs cost about $7 / £5 each and you can make them yourself for pennies! If you don't have garden twine, try using yarn or thin rope or cord. Easy-ish and simple to make! Only a few items needed to make this project! Materials for this project include: Polystyrene eggs, or plastic eggs Garden twine. (or yarn or cord, etc). Glue such as PVA glue or Elmers or basic non-toxic glue. Or modge podge. Small paint brush, to apply glue Damp cloth such as paper towel or kitchen role to wipe off excess glue This is a great rustic-look project for parties, spring wedding decor, spring garden parties, etc that you can make yourself.
