I’ve been here a few times, but honestly, I rarely buy anything — it’s just too expensive! If you’ve never been here, it’s hard to imagine how high the prices are. That’s why I made this video — to give everyone a real sense of Hawaii’s cost of living. The biggest shock? Drinks! In Taiwan, everyone always has a drink in hand, but here, one drink costs around $3–$4 USD (about 100 TWD) — it really makes you think twice before buying one. This Donki in Honolulu is a single-floor store, kind of like Carrefour in Taiwan. About 70–80% of the products are from Japan, so it’s actually a fun place to browse — if you can accept the prices! Donki in Hawaii is always packed, with fully stocked shelves and endless products. It’s impossible to see everything in one visit, so this video just shows a small portion — the tip of the iceberg. If you ever come to Hawaii, I still recommend checking it out. Even though there are Donkis in Taiwan now, visiting one all the way here in the U.S. is a fun experience — and it’s interesting to compare the differences!
