Clinical tips and tricks for all my ADC Family. Online program now available 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻 https://drmakdentalacademy.com/ 1- Try and understand the format of this exam “Theoretical based clinical approach”. Imagine you are solving a puzzle or playing a game. Stick with the grading criteria. 2- Hand movement- let’s your hand and wrist naturally follow the movement. Your handwork will automatically start to get smooth and clean. 3- Importance of contact with all the restoration based tasks. Make sure you focus on the contact first, then move to other aspects. 4- Placement of groves for occlusal reduction. Not over the cusps, always along the groves. Otherwise, as soon as you run your bud through the cups, you will loose your occlusal anatomy. So “ You always start the way you finish”. 5- Amalgam task, A- Always use the bigger size of matrix band with 2 bumps ( Sub-gingival band). Once you have the sufficient height sorted for Amalgam task. It will automatically become a lot easier for you. B- Always start initial carving along the tooth surface. Never start making occlusal anatomy straight away, otherwise you will always have problems with your tooth and restoration junction. 6- Composite task A- Use the tapping motion to set and mold the composite. A gentle tapping motion with a touch of Vaseline gives you amazing results. B- “Only cure once 90% restoration is ready to go”. If you feel more than 10% changes are still required never cure it. Do those changes first. 7- Provisional Crown A- Make sure follow the guide from my video no. 1. If you can make a good putty as explained previously, your Provisional will already come out great. B- Never make your Provisional Crown straight after finishing your Crown prep. Always have a small gap in b/w. Review your crown prep for some final refinements after that finalize your Provisional. Hope these tips will be helpful for you all. Will be back with another video soon. GODBLESS Dr. Mak.
