With darkness closing in rapidly, I decided to move east to try to catch the next train before the light failed completely. I had heard CPKC Train #401 approaching Canoe, BC and caught it at the first whistled grade crossing west of Salmon Arm, which is also west of Canoe. CPKC-CP7541 is leading CP8862, with KCSM4904 running in mid-train. CPKC Train #401 is the daily westbound manifest freight from Calgary, Alberta, to Vancouver, British Columbia. The action is caught at the Sandy Point grade crossing at Mile 66.8 of the CPKC Shuswap Subdivision, at Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Canada.
