Nangal Bajwa is an old village located in Tehsil Pasrur, District Sialkot, Punjab, Pakistan. The name “Nangal Bajwa” comes from two words — • “Nangal”, a Punjabi term often used for small settlements or hamlets, and • “Bajwa”, referring to the Bajwa clan, a well-known branch of the Jat community. The Bajwa family first settled in this area several centuries ago, likely during the late Mughal or early Sikh period, when many Jat clans moved across Punjab to cultivate fertile lands. The village gradually developed as an agricultural community, known for its fertile soil and hardworking people. During the British colonial period (1849–1947), Nangal Bajwa, like most nearby villages, was part of the Sialkot district’s rural administrative system. Agriculture, cattle farming, and small-scale trade were the main sources of livelihood. After the Partition of India and Pakistan in 1947, some Hindu and Sikh families migrated to India, while Muslim Bajwa families from Indian Punjab settled here, strengthening the community further. Today, Nangal Bajwa is a peaceful and progressive village. It is known for: • Strong family and community ties • High literacy rate compared to surrounding villages • A mix of modern education and traditional farming #NangalBajwa #NangalBajwahistory #NangalBajwavillage #Bajwa Sialkot #villages #Sialkotvillages #PunjabPakistanvillages #LifeinNangal Bajwa #HistoryofNangalBajwa #BeautifulvillageofSialkot #NangalBajwavlog #VillagelifeinPakistan
