Solidarity with refugees_Rebuilding Lives: Hope for Afghanistan Returnees and IDPs

Afghanistan is experiencing an influx of returnees, many from Pakistan and Iran. We are helping returnees and IDPS to rebuild their lives by providing temporary job opportunities and unconditional social grants. www.acrlp.org Many of these returnees and IDPs arrive with no shelter, income, or resources, increasing pressure on basic services and risking social tensions over jobs, water, and housing. With climate disasters compounding these challenges, the need for sustainable reintegration is more urgent than ever. The Community Resilience and Livelihoods Project (CRLP) is stepping in—creating jobs, offering social grants, and supporting small-scale construction of community projects in high-return areas. These interventions are helping thousands of returnees and IDPs cover essentials like food, rent, and medical costs, while promoting long-term stability without ongoing humanitarian aid.
