Benitachell - A charming town with a spectacular coastline

Benitachell is a tranquil and picturesque village in the province of Alicante. http://www.spain-holiday.com/Benitachell Benitachell was originally an Arab outpost. Nowadays it attracts tourists from all over Europe with its spectacular coastline, which is formed by a succession of cliffs of more than a 100m high that descend vertically into the sea, making it a great spot to practice water sports such as diving. At the foot of the nearby Mount El Mongó there is a thriving business of grape and almond cultivation. Located towards the northern end of the Costa Blanca, the village is just off the A-7 Motorway, about an hours drive from Alicante airport.
