"Get Down And Get With It, it was a hard rock song" insists Dave, "and that's what we were about live." Despite the Beeb's support for SLADE over the course of a dozen or so specially recorded sessions, it took a while for the daytime DJs to show their support for what turned out to be SLADE's breakthrough 45.
