Hi, I’m Jakub Maciejewski, a high school student interested in energy, climate issues, and competitive debating in the Oxford and parliamentary formats. I have led several initiatives, including “oEnergii,” which won the “Złoty Wilk” in the ZWZT olympiad, and I also organize debate tournaments through my project “Świadoma Debata.” Currently, I’m creating SkillForm.pl, a platform supporting local freelancers and tutors. My speech is about energy transformation and how it affects more than just the environment. I will talk about its impact on the economy and society, explaining why moving away from fossil fuels is important not only for the climate but also for economic stability and a fair transition, especially in post-coal regions. I want to show that energy transformation is one of the biggest challenges we all face today.
