Krásná Hora - The Show live@ARGEkultur Salzburg 2018 Overture The concert starts with an introductory piece, which transports the framework of the concept. The guiding theme of the following hour is presented and processed, thus leading to reminiscences later. The contrast between solitude and community as a theme is carried out without any episodic elements, therefore offering an objective observation on a musical and lyrical level. Embryo 'Solitude and community' is often linked to the concept of life and death, which is executed during this episode in a fairly gruesome way: A living embryo in a womb of a dead woman pushes its way to light through its inherent strive for survival. Achluphobia A child alone at night in his bed is often exposed to his deep instinctual fear of darkness. Shadows, noise, movement – it’s an interplay between imagination and rationality. Pressure of Pride The adolescent stage in human development, driven by rebellion and frenzy. The evolvement to adulthood evokes conflicts of willpower, pride and rage which results in unrest and several unexperienced emotions. Shared Isolation The human is a gregarious animal, dependent on habits. These habits often lead to stealthy developments of interpersonal relationships that end in isolation. This episode deals with the communal life of two people, who have lost their emotional proximity as well as their reflexion on their shared life and therefore have come to a stage of isolation from each other. Alone at the Institution Solitude is often fought with group-affinity. This creates mutual goals and fellowship. Due to that fact, humans generally strive to operate institutions and collectives to satisfy their collective interests. This episode works around these theses as well as the uneasiness of an institution devoid of people. Silent Departure Silent Departure is often deployed in order to escape from a number of personal conflicts. This phenomenon can seldom be considered as clean of psychological imbalance. This episode further enhances this imbalance by the employment of an unusual instrumentation. The Last Journey Regardless of the strengths or weaknesses of relationships, the last moment of earthly life releases all ties and commitments, and the last step has to be taken in solidarity.
