I'm thrilled to share my exciting journey with you. On 12th January 2026, I embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Chikhaldara and Bahiram Yatra. Chikhaldara: The distance from Amravati to Chikhaldara is about 87 km and it takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes to reach Chikhaldara by Taxi. Chikhaldara is a beautiful hill station located in the Amravati district of Maharashtra, India. It is situated at an altitude of about 1,120 meters, with the highest elevation point reaching 1,190 meters. The best time to visit Chikhaldara is from October to June. This region is rich in wildlife and is home to animals such as tigers, panthers, sloth bears, sambars, wild boars, and rarely seen wild dogs. Nearby, it is connected to the famous Melghat Tiger Project. Chikhaldara is also known for its scenic lakes, waterfalls, old forts, temples, and beautiful viewpoints, making it a perfect destination for nature and adventure lovers. 2. Bahiram: The distance from Chikhaldara to Bahiram is around 46 km and it took about 1 hour and 10 minutes to reach there by Taxi. The Bahiram Yatra is a famous, long-running religious festival in Maharashtra's Amravati district, celebrating Bahiram Baba (an idol of Lord Bhairavnath), held annually from December 20th to February 5th, drawing huge crowds for a month and a half for blessings, rituals, and a unique cultural blend of Hindi and Marathi-speaking devotees in the Satpura Range. 02:43 - Here's a rundown of my exciting day: 1 to 19 04:59 - Get Ready for a Visual Treat! During the journey, I captured some beautiful photographs of nature and the surroundings. 26:52 - 3. Selfie Point: I stopped at the Selfie Point Chikhaldara and enjoyed clicking pictures there. 29:14 - 4. Nanda Udyan Ganpati Sangrahalaya: After that, I visited Nanda Udyan Ganpati Sangrahalaya at Chikhaldara. 01:09:47 - 5. Then, my journey again continued towards Bhimkund Chikhaldara. 01:16:01 - 6. Bhimkund: I visited Bhimkund, Chikhaldara, where I enjoyed several activities, including zipline activity. 01:34:36 - 7. After Bhimkund, my journey started again towards the next destination Mozari Point. 01:37:39 - 8. Mozari Point: I reached Mozari Point, Chikhaldara, where I took a lunch break. 01:46:11 - 9. Devi Point: Later, I visited Devi Point of Chikhaldara and enjoyed the scenic view. 02:02:49 - 10. After that, my journey started towards the Sky Walk construction site. 02:05:06 - 11. Sky Walk construction site: I visited the Sky Walk construction site, where I saw construction work going on. 02:10:58 - 12. Hurricane Point: Next, I visited Hurricane Point, Chikhaldara, which was truly amazing. 02:15:22 - 13. Return journey towards Bahiram: Then, my return journey started back towards Bahiram. 02:26:30 - 14. Shiva Temple: On the way, I visited a beautiful Shiva Temple and offered prayers. 02:30:48 - 15. After that, my journey again continued towards Bahiram. 02:31:36 - 16. Shiv Darshan Adhyatmik Museum and Art Gallery: I visited Shiv Darshan Adhyatmik Museum and Art Gallery. 02:34:04 - 17. Bhairam Baba Darshan: Finally, I reached Bhairam and took blessings (Darshan) of Bhairam Baba. 03:03:40 - 18. Bahiram Yatra Exploration: I then explored Bahiram Yatra. There were several shops of Clay pots, and village people were cooking traditional non-vegetarian food in clay pots, which was unique and lively experience. 03:12:34 - 19. Returned to home: After exploring the entire area and enjoying the atmosphere, I returned home at around 9 pm.
