I recorded this song using a Paradox TZF2 on each guitar track. It was a fun project! Both use Positive summing, and one is a little slower than the other. FR100 is used for overdrive. 0:26 The bridge part features a CC Hybrid2 Fuzz pedal, double tracked in stereo, each with a slow flange 0:58 The breakdown has a clean, flanged guitar on each side and the lead is played with low gain overdrive (FR100) and a slow, positive flange. 1:14 The second section of the song switches into a heavy metal riff with a heavy guitar on each side. A RAT was used for distortion followed by Paradox TZF with some Envelope controlled sweep dialed in. 1:29 The big guitar solo was done using a RAT for distortion and Paradox TZF for over-the-top, negative flanging and the speed is ramped down using the RAMP foot switch. By ramping at two key moments, it creates an intense and very gratifying flange sound you don’t get from other flangers. 1:46 Next is a riff I ripped off from Lenny Kravitz “Are you gonna go my way”. RAT is used for distortion and the flanger is set for positive flanging and a sweep that revolves around the through-zero point. 2:02 After that it’s more of the same as the song rides out.
