25 Minute Landscape

In this video, I paint a loose abstract landscape from start to finish using acrylic paint on mixed media paper. The entire painting took about 25 minutes, but the video is sped up so you can watch the full process without waiting for paint to dry or layers to build. I work intuitively, layering color, texture, and marks to slowly discover the landscape as it emerges. Various tools are used for mark-making throughout the process, creating everything from soft atmospheric areas to bold expressive lines. This piece is all about letting the painting evolve, responding to color and movement rather than following a strict plan. You’ll see how quickly a landscape can take shape when you allow yourself to play, cover things up, and keep moving forward.
