Whenever we see that the view in native query option on any transformation step in Power Query editor is in greyed out mode, we assume that the query is not folded. But to really find out, what we need to do is to use some tool that profiles the queries that's being sent back to your source to see if its truly happening. We can use a SQL profiler or an Azure Data Studio to do this. But if we don't have any of these options then we can use the built-in feature in Query editor called "Query Diagnostics" option from Tools in Query editor.
