I’m grateful to God, to share with you a new piece of music entitled «Chagrin d'Amour.» Despite the sad evocation of the title, this track has not for the purpose to evoque a dead-end issue regarding love. It’s rather the opposite. I wanted to express — in a sort of musical prayer — the suffering of two lovers, profoundly longing for each other, who cannot be yet together. The main motif represents the prayer and the chagrin of love, it also represent the male voice. The harpeggio following and evolving represents its intensity. The counter-melody which you can hear in the women’s voices at 1:36 represents the woman's response - illustrating the reciprocity of her feelings for the man, in joining the prayer to God. The violins and the horn symbolize the spirit of God which transcends their mutual love, making it deeper and nobler. Love you all!
