A very old large blanket box dating from 1833 and in very good condition for its age. Recently stripped of its original paint and now in the bare wood. The carrying handles are original and in good order. Inside the chest is a candle box - typical of this time. A charming flat top blanket box that is very useful storage for not only blankets but shoes, toys etc... They work very well in hallways, boot rooms and at the end of your bed.
