Space Shuttle Atlantis (STS-132) lifts off from Pad 39-A Friday afternoon at the Kennedy Space Center on a 12 day mission to the International Space Station carrying a crew of 6. With only two more scheduled launches remaining this was the final launch of Atlantis. She is carrying a Russian Rassvet Mini-Research Module which will be attached to the International Space Station upon arrival. Video was taken from the Turn Basin which is right next to the massive Vehicle assembly building which was built to stack the large Saturn V rockets for the moon missions, is the closest any person can get to the pad during liftoff which is 3 miles from the launch pad.
