It is far more economical to upgrade this older van than buy a new one. Gary and Rae Parker wanted to run the aircon all night, run the washing machine off-road and convert to an all electric kitchen in the future. This is so easy to do with a New Age van. In this Safiery design, Gary can run the aircon while driving. The system will BOTH run the aircon and charge the 48V batteries. The benefit of doing this is the van is then chilled when they arrive in camp and it takes less power to run the aircon purely off the batteries. It makes quite a difference. The 240V wiring makes it straightforward to add circuits with their own RCBO's still in the outside control box. The BMPRO is left in place but the 240V charger lead is unplugged. It then runs on the existing 12V batteries. The 48V system has a 48-12V converter that keeps the 12V batteries charged. have added 600Ah Lithium and a 5000W Inverter Charger replenished by 820W solar and 1000W from Safiery's new Killa-Wasp.
