We find it in the composition of many medical products, both for consumption as well as in cosmetics. Recently, she has been experiencing a renaissance thanks to the preparation of "aloe vera". And aloe vera is simply aloe vera. Before I show how to get an extraordinary aloe vera gel, a few words about growing this plant at home. Aloes are desert plants. That's why they feel great in the sun, for example on the windowsill on the south side. The most popular species include aloe vera, woody, sycamore and variegated. The smallest aloe species grow up to 10-15 cm in height. And they can bloom, but not in this way. This is a plant that I found in a certain store, with attached dried flowers. I will save her by getting rid of what absolutely is not needed here. I hope that now it will grow healthy. But let's return to our main topic, that is, to aloe vera. It is very easy to grow and requires minimum care. In the summer, we water it moderately, letting the ground slightly dry between treatments. In the winter, water it more sparingly. If we shed the plant during this time, the roots and leaves may rot. If in the winter we provide aloe with cooler growing conditions and a temperature around 10 degrees Celsius, it may bloom. During the growing season, from April to October, it is worth feeding our plant with a diluted universal fertilizer or fertilizer for cacti and succulents. We do not exaggerate the aloe vera when the root ball is over the pot or when we notice the presence of pests. We do it more or less every 3 years. As a substrate, we can use a universal soil with an admixture of sand or a ready substrate for cacti and succulents. Let's remember about the drainage layer. It is especially important in the case of aloe vera, because they will cope well with periodic water shortages, but will not tolerate excessive watering. If our plant has already reached its target size, we transplant it even more rarely, it is enough to replace the top layer of soil with fresh soil every few years. The most popular method of aloe breeding is the removal of suckers. Typically, these plants are best presented individually grown in a pot. In addition to decorative qualities, aloe vera also has healing properties. And we can really grow it at home as a useful crop. If necessary, just cut the leaf and use the gel inside. It can be used as a wound or burn compress. It is enough then to apply a cut aloe leaf that has healing properties. However, here's the point. It is not recommended to use undiluted juice or aloe wraps for young children, care should also be taken by pregnant women and nursing mothers. There are many recipes on the internet on how to use gel from the leaves of aloe vera. It can be an addition to shampoo, it works, among others dandruff. It can be an addition to a cream or mask because it has antibacterial properties and improves skin condition. It can also be used for making juices, tinctures or drinking preparations, because it contains a lot of vitamins, micronutrients and other active substances that can be read about in various publications. However, the method of taking a gel for food purposes is different from what we will present here. So how do you get an aloe gel? This is the way that I think is the simplest. First, we cut the leaf or a few leaves depending on your needs. The leaves should be healthy, about 20 cm in length. The plant should be at least 3 years old, but the leaf should not be more than 5 years old. After cutting, we rinse them thoroughly. Remove the lateral spikes, cut them in half and use a spoon or spoon to hollen a transparent gel, which we can use as we please. Aloe vera was widely used by doctors in ancient Greece or Rome, and recent discoveries show that it was also used for medicinal purposes by Chinese and Hindus. In the 19th century, an Egyptian papyrus dated back to 1500 BC was discovered, in which a description of the healing and health properties of aloe was also found.
