These little screens use I2C communication so only require 2 data pins to communicate with an Arduino, Raspberry Pi or other micro controller. They work fantastic for any small or large project that needs a display screen to show data, animation, graphs, values etc. I found them very fast and reliable. With no back light they are less intrusive than other LCD screens. Also the power consumption seems very low but likely depends on what you are displaying at any time.
