Nasa Artemis 2 Mission To Moon In Spaceflight Simulator Artemis II is a planned lunar flyby mission under the Artemis program, scheduled to launch on April 1, 2026 from the Kennedy Space Center. The ten-day mission will carry NASA astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, and Christina Koch, along with Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jeremy Hansen, on a free-return trajectory around the Moon and back to Earth. It will be the second flight of the Space Launch System (SLS), the first crewed mission of the Orion spacecraft, and the first crewed mission beyond low Earth orbit since Apollo 17 in 1972. The Space Launch System (SLS) is an American super heavy-lift expendable launch vehicle used by NASA. As the primary launch vehicle for the Artemis program, SLS is designed to send the crewed Orion spacecraft on trans-lunar injection trajectories for missions to the Moon.
