Deity PR-2 Problems. No Monitoring on Playback Through Sidus App: Only "LIVE" Monitoring

I recently discovered two significant (to me) issues with the Deity PR-2 Pocket Recorders. First is that you CAN'T listen to an audio file that you already recorded through the Sidus app on your phone. Instead, you have to walk over to the device and plug headphones in. Kind of inconvenient if you have the PR-2 on talent. You can LIVE Monitor through the Sidus App on your phone either before or after recording. In most countries, you can monitor through the headphones WHILE recording, but due to patent restrictions, in the USA. you can't monitor at all WHILE recording (neither through the Sidus App on your phone, nor through the headphone jack). All Countries: CAN monitor LIVE audio through Sidus App when NOT recording All Countries: CAN monitor LIVE audio through the Headphone Jack of PR-2 when NOT recording All Countries: Can NOT monitor through Sidus App WHILE recording All Countries: Can NOT monitor a previously recorded file through the Sidus App via playback function All Countries: CAN monitor a previously recorded file though the Headphone Jack on the PR-2 Outside USA: CAN monitor during recording using the Headphone Jack on the PR-2 In USA: Can NOT monitor during recording using the Headphone Jack on the PR-2 Second Issue: You can't use the file browser on the Sidus phone app to find files that were recorded on a previous day. So you might mistakingly think that there are no files on your SD card and then format your card, only to learn later that you formatted files from a previous day. The above information was confirmed from Deity Tech Support to me via email, March of 2025. There might have been firmware updates since then that have resolved these issues and / or added functionality. #Deitymicrophones #pr-2
