Tuned mass damper (TMD) is effective solution to reduce mechnaical vibrations. Oscillation frequency is tuned to be similar to the resonant frequency of the object (system 1) it is mounted. This leads to the reduction of the maximum amplitude of the object. The theoretical foundations were described in 1940 by Jacob Pieter Den Hartog. ------- Schwingungstilger ist eine wirksame Lösung zur Reduzierung mechanischer Vibrationen. Die Schwingungsfrequenz ist so abgestimmt, dass sie der Resonanzfrequenz des Objekts (System 1), auf dem es montiert ist, ähnelt. Dies führt zu einer Verringerung der maximalen Amplitude des Objekts.
