Join me as I open the little white sack from my first visit to a medical marijuana dispensary in Colorado. While I became a patient today, December 6, 2013, my journey began over 30 years ago and has been well documented. I've lost relationships, friends, family members and a career over my choice to advocate for my right to consume cannabis. I blame prohibition and the ignorance and fear it has required to sustain. So today feels good. Really good. I saw a highly qualified physician who put together several suggestions I had not considered before. I felt respected and valued like I rarely have in the medical establishment before. I feel that now I have a fighting chance with the Glaucoma and other maladies which are, quite frankly, NUNYA... Finally, if by some miracle I do get any quality sleep tonight, I dedicate it to my friend back in Iowa, Ms. Marie Smallow. We are patients darling, NOT criminals...
