Brutal Strategy taken from Liquipedia: A fairly easy way to accomplish this mission on brutal is to do it after you have done Maw of the Void, which enables you to produce Battlecruisers, and to have finished the Protoss tech tree by selecting the Science Vessel and Tech Reactor (note that automated Refineries as well as the +25% gas upgrade also helps immensely here, since it allows you to grab the two Refineries in the second base). The Cellular Reactor in the Zerg tech tree is probably also a requirement for the extra energy for Yamato and Repairs. Basically build up your economy quickly and make your Factory produce a Tech Reactor. Let the Odin take on the first base by itself, with 2 SCV's on standby for repair. Once you get the Starport, build a Fusion Core and fly it to the Tech Reactor. Start out by producing 2 Science Vessels, and then 2 Battlecruisers. The 2 cruisers are more than enough to take on the second base since they kill units that threaten the Odin very fast with minimal danger to themself, although you should have SCV's on standby to help repair the Odin. Continue producing Battlecruisers and Science Vessels from this point on. Base defense can be handled by your starting units + a squad of Siege Breakers from the Merc Compound. By the end of the mission you should have 8-12 Battlecruisers and 6 or more Science Vessels, which is more than enough to complete the mission, plus all of the achievements.
