Bor is from the Netherlands, where he trains at the Historisch Schermgilde Limburg sports club. He has about 8 years of experience with the longsword and prefers using the Zwerchhau. Thomas is from Germany and trains with Freyfechter Augustini. He’s been fighting with the longsword for almost 12 years now, and his favorite technique is the Schiller. Referee and Assistant Referee in this fight are Carla Huvermann and Flora von Steimker [EN] On 12.10.2024 the 3rd Saturday Fight Knight took place. This unique event in Historical European Martial Arts (short: HEMA) is organized by the sports club Grün-Weiß Holten 1900 e.V. in Oberhausen, Germany. The Saturday Fight Knight brings together international fencers in coordinated constellations to pit them against each other like a boxing event. The entertaining event aspect as well as the international exchange in the HEMA scene are in the foreground and set the Saturday Fight Knight apart from conventional tournaments. Fighting rules: There will be 3 x 2 minutes fencing Between the rounds there is a break of 2 minutes The points are added up over the 3 rounds Hits in the form of thrust, hit and cut against head or torso = 2 points Hits in the form of stab, hit and cut against extremities = 1 point Double hits = no points Afterblow = both hits are counted Wrestling and disarming are allowed Mordhau, pommel blows, kicks and punches are forbidden ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- [GE] Am 12.10.2024 fand die 3. Die Saturday Fight Knight bringt internationale Fechterinnen und Fechter in aufeinander abgestimmten Konstellationen zusammen, um diese wie bei einem Box-Event gegeneinander antreten zu lassen. Der unterhaltende Event-Aspekt, sowie der internationale Austausch in der HEMA-Szene stehen hierbei im Vordergrund und heben die Saturday Fight Knight von herkömmlichen Turnieren ab.
