8 years ago today, my dad got the diagnosis that he had incurable cancer. He fought and was the strongest man I`ve ever known, but exactly 6 months after his diagnosis he lost the fight against this terrible illness. It turned our world upside down. I was 15 at the time and couldn`t muster up the strength to talk to him at his funeral. With this movie, it`s the best way I know how to attempt to find the right words after all these years. It`s an idea that has been around for years. A tribute to dad, trying to encompass the journey I`ve been on together with my family and all the life`s decisions that were made as a result from our changed perspectives and newfound outlook on life. It`s my way of saying that my dad is at the foundation of the person I`ve become and that I want to honour everything good he stood for. I am forever grateful for the time I had with him. I hope he`d be proud of us. And dad, I will forever love you. I hope this movie can mean something to whoever is going through struggles right now. Just to say: hang in there, you`re not alone and you have the strength needed to get through what it is you`re dealing with. Life is sacred and the world needs you and the good you bring to those around you. I put all of my heart into this. So, from the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for watching.
