The Department of Chemistry boasts state-of-the-art research facilities, well-equipped M.Sc. laboratories, a comprehensive physical and online library, and all necessary infrastructure to support advanced research. Our faculty members are recognized for their exceptional expertise in their respective fields. As of January 2025, the department has filed 39 patents, with 13 granted by the Indian Patent Office. Nearly all of our research scholars are recipients of research fellowships. We also maintain the highest placement ratio among our peers. In line with our commitment to sustainability, we conduct green audits and have implemented environmentally responsible practices. These include the use of solar power, effective liquid waste management (via a dedicated safety system), and solid waste management through an external agency. Additionally, we prioritize the minimal use of chemicals as raw materials and ensure the recycling of solvents used in research processes.
