Reefer Madness [AKA Tell Your Children] (1936)
Don't smoke marijuana, or else they'll be manslaughter, suicide, rape and insanity! Well, that was the message of the first cut of the film! Dammit, 1930's... To audiences today, this film is hilariously exaggerated, but back in1938 or 1939 (we don't actually know), exploitation film maker Dwain Esper thought so too and re-cut the film to create this exploitation gem you see before you now! So unintentionally campy and dreadful, it became a hit in the 70's as an argument for legalising cannabis in the US, and has remained a cult classic ever since! So please enjoy, but don't forget... it could be YOUR children that suffer the menace of one of the most harmless drugs... YOURS!
