Motorists and commuters across Nigeria are reacting with frustration as petrol prices continue to rise at filling stations in major cities, including Lagos and Abuja. At several stations visited by reporters, pump prices have climbed above ₦1,200 per litre, with some outlets selling as high as ₦1,261 in Abuja and between ₦1,220 and ₦1,247 in Lagos. Many drivers say the sudden adjustments have left them stranded at stations and struggling to afford fuel for their daily activities. Commuters warn that the increases are already pushing up transportation fares and affecting businesses that depend on mobility. Residents say the frequent price changes have created uncertainty, with motorists arriving at stations only to discover that prices have shifted again within hours.
